UK-based skincare brand Faace will cease trading this year after a deal to acquire the business collapsed.WHO: Faace was founded in 2019 by Jasmine Wicks-Stephens with a mission to tackle everyday skin stresses caused by menopause, periods, tiredness, and perspiration. The range simplifies complicated skincare routines with products that adapt to your skin's life cycles.WHY: Amid increased competition, the business has been looking for a buyer since last July.IN THEIR OWN WORDS: Jasmine Wicks-Stephens Faace founder posted a video to LinkedIn and Instagram, "My brand is closing and I'm devastated. I still wholeheartedly believed in the brand and the product, and I wanted to see them live on. I was absolutely elated when I found who I thought, at the time, was going to be the perfect buyer. Unfortunately, in the last couple of weeks, the sale is no longer going ahead. I don't have the mental resilience to keep taking the huge highs and massive lows that come with running the business, so I've made the really difficult decision to close it down."DETAILS:Last year, Faace secured a triple investment on BBC's Dragons' Den from Steven Bartlett, Peter Jones, and Touker Suleyman.Faace secured £165,000 in 2023.
